Bitwig Studio 5 is coming

Bitwig Studio 5 is set to launch soon, featuring new multi-segment envelope generators (MSEGs), an updated modulation system, browser upgrades, and enhanced performance capabilities. The update includes five different MSEGs for creating custom signals, improved live performance options with the Clip Launcher, and project-wide modulation of various parameters. The browsers have also been overhauled for a more streamlined experience and easier access to content.

Polyend Releases the Tracker Mini

Polyend has announced the Tracker Mini, a handheld follow-up to their standalone Tracker hardware. The new device offers an improved form factor, user-requested enhancements such as more headroom, 4x sampling capacity, stereo sampling, built-in microphone, internal battery, and audio over USB. Priced at $699, the Tracker Mini is expected to ship in July and will compete with Dirtywave's M8 Tracker.

Intellijel Announces Cascadia

Intellijel has introduced the Cascadia desktop synthesizer, a semi-modular device with 101 patch points, providing an affordable and convenient alternative to full modular systems. The synthesizer features a wide array of controls, including two analog VCOs, a six-channel waveform mixer, a noise generator, a 4-pole multimode filter, and more, making it suitable for versatile sound design and experimentation.

Sontronics Announces Saturn 2

Sontronics is launching the redesigned Saturn 2 microphone, featuring nine polar patterns, British-made electronics, and high-quality components for precise recordings. Available in June 2023, it includes a switchable high-pass filter and onboard pads for versatility and mix-ready results.

Digit Music Releases Cmpsr

Cmpsr, a cool MIDI controller from UK's Digit Music, lets you rock instruments using joystick moves, making it super accessible. With built-in features like keys, scales, and chords, it's compatible with any MIDI device, offering a fresh and fun way to create music for people with disabilities or those just starting out.

Kazorg and Avalon announce the Kazorg Avalon VT-747SP

Kazrog and Avalon Design have collaborated to create the Kazrog Avalon VT-747SP, an official emulation of Avalon's VT-747SP hardware, featuring a stereo compressor and equalizer. The plugin captures the essence of the original unit and will be available for VST3, VST2, AU, and AAX formats for Mac and Windows in Summer 2023.

Soundtoys announce SuperPlate

Soundtoys is set to release SuperPlate, a reverb plug-in that emulates five classic electromechanical plate reverbs, in spring 2023. The plug-in features analog coloration, modern digital features, and EQ controls, offering a versatile and immersive reverb experience. SuperPlate will be available individually or as part of the Soundtoys 5.4 bundle

W. A. Production has releases Obsidian

W. A. Production has released Obsidian, a plugin designed to enhance synths, bass lines, and vocals, providing unique sound transformations. The plugin offers a range of features, including complex modulation, color and harmonic processing, spectral delay, and randomization. The introductory price is $16 until May 11th, 2023 (regularly $39.90).

Surge XT Version 1.2

Surge Synth Team has updated Surge XT to version 1.2, which includes new features like an oscilloscope, MTS-ESP server capability, and improved accessibility. The update also offers better handling of irregular buffer sizes, new wavetables and patches, and various visual and stability fixes. Surge XT is a free and open-source software released under the GPL3 license.

Audio Embers Releases Disturbine 2

Audio Embers has released Disturbine 2, a jet engine sampler instrument for Kontakt 6.7+ designed for dark, atmospheric, and cinematic soundscapes. The full version features a pattern sequencer, granular engines, an 8-channel mixer, and Komplete Kontrol integration. A free, lite version, Disturbine 2 Lite, is also available with limited features.
